LIL' BUCKAROO'S CHILI COOK-OFF

Directors Notes: This is a shameless plug for our church's annual Chili Cook Off! It's a very fun event--you all are welcome to come out this year on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Calvary Chapel Modesto, 4300 American Ave.

NOW.....regarding this show, which is last years Chili Cook-Off. My good friend Meri showed up with her very cute grandson, we hung out together and then one thing led to another and wow, Lil' Buckaroo seemed to show up in like alot of my pictures!!! Putting together this photoshow soon became a "looking at this event through his eyes". I loved the way it turned out....and I think it really caught the essence of how fun and wonderful this day is! Convinced?!?! Come on down!!

'Lil' Buckaroo's Chili Cook-Off" was filmed September 29, 2007 at Calvary Chapel Modesto.

RAFA!

Directors Notes: I'm a huge tennis fan! Watching Rafa Nadal win Wimbledon a few days ago was so amazing!!! I wanted to throw together a quick PhotoShow. First I thought, oh I'll just snatch a few pics off the net....but wait...I have my OWN photos! Barry and I have seen Nadal play 4 times in the last few years at the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells. The only one I had to lift off the net was an incredible photo by Marc Aspland done in b/w which closes the PhotoShow.

The two Nadal fans holding the Rafa sign were sisters who had traveled from Oregon to Indian Wells to see him play. They were rewarded with a fantastic match. We sat next to them and had a wonderful time chatting. I thought of them on Sunday when Rafa won Wimbledon. :)

"Rafa!" was filmed in March 2007 and 2008 in
Indian Wells, California at the Pacific Life Open.

Be sure to check out Marc Aspland's gorgeous black and white photos of Wimbledon.

BECOMING JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB

Directors Notes: 'BJABC' was one of the first photoshows I did that combined old film, b/w
and imported photos from the net. I also
started tweaking some of the photos to get
that artsy effect. I went a little wild with all of
these SPX but. . . I think it worked. It's one
of my favorite shows and it always brings a
smile to my face when I view it.

"Becoming Jane Austen Book Club" was
filmed on December 2, 2007 in Modesto,
California.

This is the Jane Austen Quiz we were all
doing in the PhotoShow. Be warned--it's
difficult!!

MODERN TEA TYMES

Directors Notes: I have Steven Spielberg to
thank for "Modern Tea Tymes". No--he
wasn't my assistant director--but he was
the inspiration! You may remember when
he directed "Jaws"--the shark was never
available....so filming had to be done
around 'Bruce'. Thus, with "ModernTea Tymes",
all my photos came out grainy and discolored
because I had the flash setting wrong on my
camera! So I turned everything into "old film"
and a silent movie was born!

"Modern Tea Tymes" was filmed August 2007
at Tyme for Tea in Niles Canyon, CA.
Additional filming was done at Essanay Studios
where Charlie Chaplain directed silent films in 1914.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME

Directors Notes: I made "Take Me out to
the Ballgame" in 10 minutes using the
Photoshow.com website. I absolutely
love the 'rolling baseball' effect for the
intro credits!

Filmed at AT&T Park in San Francisco
on April 30, 2008. Giants beat the
Colorado Rockies 3-2~!
